Traditions

Troop 20 has many annual events that Scouts look forward to, and as a youth led Troop, scouts also design the ongoing activity schedule through the monthly Patrol Leaders Conference (PLC) and semi-annual retreats.
Klondike Winter Campout (January)
Unique winter outdoor programs each year to build resilience and learn important lessons in the elements
Boonsboro Carnival
An annual fundraiser supporting parking
Summer Camp
Scouts can choose many different options for a summer camp adventure, but we always consider summer camp at Camp Sinoquipe near Fort Littleton, Pennsylvania - https://www.campsinoquipe.org

Dutch Oven Games
A Spring competition against other local troops preparing the best meal for a panel of judges from the Shenandoah Council.
Bay Weekend
This is our annual campout at the Chesapeake bay. Here we work on aquatic badges, swim, fish and crab, and participate in other water activities. We have a wide range of boats and equipment including sailboats, inflatable equipment to float on the water, and motorized boats (driven by the adults in order to reach the larger open bay).
Luminaries Campout
Luminaries Campout at Antietam Battlefield (December)
Boonesborough Days
An annual fundraiser in partnership with the Lions Club.
Scout Christmas Tree Sales
Learning salesmanship and customer service while supporting the Troop during the holiday season
Court of Honor
Typically three times annually to celebrate rank advancement and merit badges of scouts: Spring (Crossover of new Scouts), Fall, and Winter
